The Pony Division finale was a beauty, with the Angels finally prevailing in the bottom of the 12^th inning and winning the Pony Division title game against the Blue Jays 3-2.

It was an incredible game filled with great pitching, great defense, and many dramatic moments. The Angels led 2-1 after the first inning. Then the pitching and defense took over. With two outs and no one on base, Abe Osuna singled to left. He stole second base on the next pitch but was accidentally spiked on the back of the right hand and had to leave the game. James An then became the pinch-runner. On an 0-2 pitch, Thomas Rohrback singled to left center field scoring An and tying the game.

More great defense and pitching until the bottom of the 12^th. Anthony Garcia led off the 12^th with a walk and went to second on an infield hit by Jose Medina. Nick Fields hit into a fielders choice, moving Medina to second base. Medina stole third base and then came around to score the winning run on an errant throw and the game was finally decided.

Both teams were great. Hats off to the pitchers – James An, Ryan Cruz and David Leong for the Blue Jays and Kyle Kinlaw, Jose Medina, Nick Fields and Jordan Orringer for the Angels.

A truly great way to end a great season. Both teams represented Mid Valley in a way in which all the parents and players and coaches should be proud of!
