Mid Valley
Baseball was founded in 1970 with the goal of teaching the children of our
community the importance of teamwork, dedication, and good citizenship to
achieve their career and life’s goals. Over 17,000 children have had the
opportunity to participate in our program since 1970.
Mid Valley Baseball is comprised entirely of volunteer adults that are
dedicated to providing quality activities for the youth of our community.
Through our PONY baseball programs, we teach the importance of teamwork,
dedication, and good citizenship, tools that are vital to succeed in today’s
competitive and challenging environment. Our mentoring coaches and other
volunteers instill the importance of applying one’s own natural gifts to
achieve the maximum in positive results.
We are proud to host two tournaments annually. Our spring tournament (Memorial Day
Tournament), and our fall tournament (Gobbler
Games.)
Our program is focused on family involvement with each team featuring a
"team" Mom or Dad that helps to coordinate with the Managers and
Coaches, the practice schedules, the distribution and management of uniforms and
equipment, the pick-up of some of the children, and more. Many of the member
families of Mid Valley have been affiliated with the organization for a number
of years. In fact, we are proud to say that a number of our volunteer corps have
remained with Mid Valley many years after their own children and grandchildren
have moved on to their own productive adult lives.
Mid Valley is a very closely knit group of people that come from a broad
range of economic and social backgrounds. We all share the common goal of
wanting something available to the children of our community that provides a
healthy, wholesome, entertaining, and educational environment.
